400g Pack of Fried Dough Flour
How to make fried dough sticks:
- Pour 250ml of water into 400g of flour, mix and knead evenly by hand into a round dough (remember to reserve a little flour for rolling out the dough), then wrap the dough tightly in a nylon bag for about 10 minutes, then knead it again, then stretch the dough into a long block, wrap it tightly in a nylon bag and let it rest for about 3 hours (the longer the rest, the better the cake)
- Roll out the dough, sprinkle some dry flour on the tray and roll the dough block thinly to about 0.5cm thick. Cut the dough into pieces, about 10cm long and 3cm wide, wet a toothpick and draw a line in the middle of the dough piece, then stack 2 pieces on top of each other, lightly press with a knife along the length
- Heat the oil in the pan until it boils, then reduce the heat to low to prevent smoke (so the cake rises beautifully). Then, use both hands to press both ends of the elongated flour piece about 15 - 17 cm, then release it into the hot oil and use chopsticks to flip until the cake turns golden evenly. Remove the cake, place it on absorbent paper or a thin tray to drain the oil. The product is delicious when served hot or with porridge.
